Katie Ditschun Named Finalist in 2025 InterContinental Music Awards

Glengarry’s own Katie Ditschun has officially been named a Finalist in the prestigious 2025 InterContinental Music Awards, joining a global lineup of standout independent artists celebrated for their musical excellence and cultural impact.

Her moving single, “In Your Arms”, earned her this international spotlight — praised by judges for its emotional depth, tender delivery, and universal themes of love, loss, and resilience. The track, a standout from her new EP There Will Be Flowers, reflects Katie’s unwavering honesty and musical vulnerability — the kind that leaves a mark on anyone who’s ever felt grief or longing.

“It’s a song for anyone who has felt alone — but also carries the hope that you won’t feel that way forever,” says Ditschun.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music and co-owner of Seaway Valley Music Academy, Katie Ditschun is more than a finalist — she’s a true Glengarry gem. Her music carries the soul of this region, shaped by small-town roots and powered by world-class talent. As she takes her place on an international stage, she reminds us what Glengarry has always known: greatness grows here. Let’s rally behind one of our own as she represents not just herself — but the heart, depth, and resilience of GlengarryThe EP is a deeply personal journey through grief, hope, joy, and resilience, shaped by the raw emotions of lived experience — including the loss of her mother. Yet, from this pain, Katie crafts something powerful: music that feels like being held, even when no one’s there.
